Obituary of Jane Rawley Merrill

She had graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a nursing degree. Jane had retired as a nurse from Hospice of CNY and had previously worked at Crouse Hospital. She had volunteered at the County Health Dept., Meals on Wheels, and the Cooperative Extension (Tree Planting Program). Jane was an active participant since 1960 in Park Central Presbyterian Church, a Deacon, Elder, choir member, bell ringer, and involved with many church committees. Jane enjoys knitting and collecting thimbles. She was a member of the NYS Thimble Society. Her family includes her daughter Laura Jane Merrill of Washington, D.C.; sons: Scott Andrew Merrill of Syracuse, John Christopher Merrill of Long Island; her sister Dawn Rawley; granddaughters: Rainy, Siobhan, Fiona Merrill; and great-granddaughter Sophie. Services will be private.
