Obituary of Mark E. Whitt

Mark Earl Whitt, 62, of Syracuse, died on Friday, July 12, 2019 at St. Joseph’s Hospital.  Mark was a life long resident of Syracuse and graduate of Henninger High School.  He had retired as a foreman from the City of Syracuse Department of Parks & Recreation.  He was an avid collector of antique Stickley Furniture.
Mark was pre-deceased by his parents, Earl “Buzz’ & Helen Whitt; and cousins: Phyllis Grillo, Peter Pellenz and Joe Drazek.
He is survived by his cousins: Marcia Niles, Jacki Shepardson, John Pellenz, George Drazek, Michael “Mickey” Drazek, Joy Nielson, Wayne Drazek and Jill Drazek; his best friends: Joe Pulaski, Joe Wysocki and Eddie Poswiata; and his long time companion Mary Brisson.
A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, July 20 at 9:30am in Transfiguration Church with burial to follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
