Mark will be dearly missed by Dan and I. We previously set up at the regional market and Mark would come every Sunday and sit with us for hours. we occasionally would meet him at Dominic ‘s restaurant and have dinner. Dan and Mark shared a great love for Antiques. Mark will be missed and forever in our hearts.

I had known Mark since we were kids. I've seen him twice in the past 5 years or so and found him to be the same guy I have always known. He never left his circle of what he considered home. Lifelong friends; If you are fortunate enough to have one in your 60's that's saying something. He cultivated these permanent situations likely because of his earliest life situation. The only guy to basically keep the same job/establishment from high school on throughout life; an accomplishment to be admired. Much to be said for that.
In our last conversation he was so enthused about a crock he found and got a deal on. I've been looking out for them ever since after he joyfully informed me of his full-time hobby and the bucks to be racked in by it. I loved the dedication. You were always one of the more mysterious men I've known and always handsome, sweet and making ease in reuniting after long abscesses (on my part) picking up friendship where ever it left off. I missed your smile every once in a while when I lived away and now I will miss it but remember that boy who stuck....was always there and solid. You are loved my friend. All of what I can say; much much more...more of the same. All of the best as ate you. RIP my friend. See you on the other side.

What an amazing guy Mark was. He had deep knowledge of what he collected. He bought a Windsor writing chair from me just this past Spring, and by the time he extolled its virtues–in excruciating detail– I wanted to hand him his $200 back. This was often the case with Mark. Did not see much of him in recent years but cherish the days when he would show up at an antique fair and hold court. Great sense of humor; a great loss.

Farewell my dear friend, you were the other half of so many sunny days.
Will never forgot laughing “seriously Mark she can’t read yet”, with you in defense “well she’s learning anyway” while we watched Missy studying photos in each issue of Scientific American magazine. Thinking it was for children you subscribed to it for her 1st Birthday – she loved it anyway.
Forever in my heart, on my mind every time I wear a blue blazer- RIP Half .

Mark,
I do not think I ever met you, but growing up in Eastwood I knew you lived on Sunstruck Ave , who you were, and was also told you were related to me. I now believe that your mother was first cousin to my father Stanley Banazek. So we must be distant cousins. Families have ways of growing more distant, but know that you are in my prayers, may you Rest In Peace.

Mark was one of the first people to come meet me when I was born! He is listed in my baby book among our oldest friends and family members. With his maroon van, Mark was a frequent visitor to my childhood home. He and Mom would sunbathe in the yard, telling jokes and stories while I attempted to impress them with a gymnastic routine in the grass. As I got into my teen years, Mark kept an eye on me... occasionally alerting my Mom to my sneaky behavior while she was at work. I could never get away with anything!! "Half Whitt," as we jokingly called him, was always considered a part of our family. Once I grew up and moved out, I didn't see Mark as often. However, there were at least a couple of occasions where I happened to be outdoors in Eastwood and his maroon van would pull up. He would stop to chat. Some things never change! I was sad to hear of his passing. It had been some time since I'd seen his smile. Mark will always be remembered fondly by the Yemma, Snyder, Zawacki Clan. He will always be in our hearts.

Not a close friend but I do remember Mark from the farmer's market--we both frequented around the same time. He would also say hello to my son and ask how things were going. Never knew too much about each other, just familiar strangers. From what I could tell he was a loving, smart and interesting man. Always had a smile and running into him was a pleasure.
