My deep condolences to Richard’s family. I never met him but as a member of TOHS his reputation preceded him and my intentions have been to purchase all of his books AND to hear his talk in a week or so. Again - his works were excellent and much needed in our Town. His time donation at the TOHS is immeasurable. He will be missed.

I remember Richard when we were in High School. Over the years God made sure our paths would cross from time to time. We would talk about life, and talk about God. He was very intelligent, and probably more insightful than some gave him credit for. I am sad that I won't be aeeing him again in this world. I am hopefull that he's made it to that celestial shore and I will see him again. My condolences to his family. He will be missed.

Rich waa a gentle soul with a wonderful sense of humor and an amazing intellect. He was am encyclopedia of history, especially that of Syracuse, Town of Onondaga, and military and willing shared his knowledge at The Town of Onondaga Historical Society. Rich, you will be missed especially by all of us in your Wednesday “family” at the Town!! Perhaps you will now be able to get the rest of the Split Rock Story directly from those that were there. I know you would love that! Rest In Peace Ruch
