I worked with George for many years at OnBank and always found him to be a very kind person with a big heart. We kept in touch through the retirees gatherings. His smile, laughter and personality will be greatly missed but always remembered. He was a good friend to all.

I live in Boston but grew up two streets away from George in Solvay and knew him from childhood through our high school year and beyond. Arlene Henry was kind enough to keep me posted on George and through his difficult illness. I had been praying for him through this time and particularly for some reason toward the end of last week and the weekend.
George stood out in our Class at Solvay High School because of his gifted musical ability, particularly in playing the organ.
I was so happy to hear that you were such a good friend to him and send my condolences at your loss of a good friend.
