Ray Moritz, Jr., 91, of Syracuse, died Wednesday, February 17. He was born September 26, 1924 in Buffalo, the son of the late Ray Moritz, Sr. and Bessie Hensely. Ray was employed with Syracuse University for 15 years and after that with Trinity Lutheran Church for 35 years.
Ray was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church.
He is survived by his brother Norman L. Moritz of Lynchburg, VA; 5 nephews, including his nephew and caretaker Ray M. Moritz of Fulton, and one niece.
Graveside services will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery, Monday at 2:00pm preceded by a visitation at the Welter-Price Funeral Home, Inc. 3111 James St. from 12:30 to 1:30 pm. Those wishing to make online condolences may do so at www.welterprice.com.
