I remember living below you guys on North Alvord Street and how Karl and Jane would look out for us when our parents were working. I also remember many wonderful Sunday mornings when you guys would come for breakfast even after we moved to West Onondaga. Mom and Dad had great fun you you guys. I read of Karl's passing in December and tried then to reach out to Wendy, but I'm afraid I may not have had the right number. Had planned to make the service today (5/7), but was unable. My sincerest sympathy to Jane, Bill and Wendy and all of your family members. Karl was a great man and I am sure, Husband, Father and Grandfather. I know he will be missed. Sincerely, Lorry (Mader) Nestor

Karl Evertz was my first coach when I moved to Liverpool. He was a patient man and knew his basball. Bill and I have remained friends since the early 60's. I last saw Karl at a basebal game around 2000-2002 at Le Moyne College. He remembered me, knew I was a first baseman and even knew I played ball beyond little league. Truly a class act to the end. God rest his soul. Prayers to the whole Evertz family.

I knew Karl through his grandson BJ. Karl was always eager to support BJ, his friends and fellow patriotic Americans. He watched BJ play countless rounds of golf and certainly saw a fair share of missed putts by both of us! My fondest memory of Karl was when I was 15 and down in Florida for a week long golf clinic. Knowing that I was nearby and feeling a little homesick, Karl took time out of his day to pick me up, take me out to dinner, and cheer me up. His legacy will live on through that same positive spirit he passed down to his son, grandson and others he touched. Godspeed, Karl. -Mark

My sincere sympathy to the family. Karl was a memorable and good friend for many years at First English. His warmth and caring were hallmarks. He lived a productive life of service and honor. I am grateful for that life, and for knowing him.

It is always very Sad to hear about the passing of a best friends Dad, especially
someone like Karl. He had such an awesome personality and was one of the only
parents that attended our Ball games back in the 70s -80s. A Coach at heart
and never a harsh word....even though we stunk it up at times!
He just loved the game. Hoping there is a "Diamond" in your travels.
