On behalf of Virginia (and the late Robert M.) White family we extend our heartfelt condolences to the James M. Bloss family on the loss of their father/grandfather.
We/I have many wonderful memories of Jim and Claire helping out at the many Blessed Sacrament and Bishop Grimes High School events and neighborhood activities. Wonderful and friendly individuals who always gave their best....and with a smile!

So many memories that we shared. Visits together in Syracuse, Florida and Myrtle Beach. We four could talk for hours and cover all sorts of topics, but mostly sports and our families. Jim and Claire were both very proud of their family and justifiably so. We walked into their home as Jack Ruby shot Lee Harvey Oswald and never forgot it. I'm just ever so glad that because Jim, Claire and Zeke were at Rosary together that I got to enjoy knowing them both. Many, many good times!

Jim was a dear friend of my parents, Bob and Judy Martineau. As a child, I always looked forward to their visits; as an adult, I appreciated the great decades-long friendship given to my family. My prayers are with the entire Bloss family.

I am so sorry for your loss. So many happy memories of my years taking care of the Jim and Claire. Doctors are not supposed to have favorites but I made an exception for them. They were great people to know. Especially remember Jim's pride in being an usher in our section of the Dome. He loved the Orangemen!

Jim was one of my father Zeke's oldest and dearest friends. When he visited us here in NC on his way to Myrtle Beach there was always a party.
Both Jim and Claire were very real and very dear people and were the truest kind of friends to my parents. I'm going to miss arguing SU basketball with you Mr Bloss.
God Bless.
