Rosario "Roy" Barone Obituary
Rosario “Roy” Barone, 95, of Syracuse, died on October 17, 2024 at Crouse Hospital. He had retired from Niagara Mohawk after 40 years. Roy was also a veteran of the US Army. He was a communicant and active member of Blessed Sacrament Church. Mr. Barone enjoyed golfing, going to the Casino and playing cards.
He was pre-deceased by his wife who Nancy died in 2013; and brothers: Sam & Frank; and sisters: Theresa & Millie.
Survivors include his sons: Anthony and Jeff (Resa); granddaughter Jenna and several nieces and nephews. He was very fond of his 3 dogs: Norton, Kirby and Jazz.
The funeral mass will be Monday at 10:30 in Blessed Sacrament Church with burial to follow in Assumption Cemetery. Friends may greet the family on Monday from 9:15-10:15 at the Goddard-Crandall-Shepardson Funeral Home.
