Ellen was my high school English teacher, and a phenomenal one at that! She was a good sport when I needled her about one thing in particular, the conservative teenage side of me. I had been fortunate to meet up with her in adulthood and to be a friend. What a good friend she was, and a wonderful woman. I will miss her.

My sincere heartfelt condolences to Ellen's family as well as friends. Ellen had a contagious smile, always willing to go beyond to help someone, a good sense of humor, and her deep-rooted faith was unwavering. I had the pleasure of meeting and forming a relationship with Ellen more than four decades ago. It was a time of change in many areas in our community as well as globally. It was a time of self-exploration, discovery, and renewal. Although I have not seen Ellen for a good many years, I would think of her on occasion and wondered how she was doing? She was a gift to the world, appreciated and will be missed. Rest in peace Ellen.

I believe Ellen was one if the most influential people in my life growing up. She was my teacher but she was also a mentor and a friend - such a big part of so many students lives at St. Patrick’s. I will always remember her kindness and caring ways - a true gift to all who knew her. All the best to her family at this difficult time.

To all Ellen’s loved ones, Offering my heartfelt condolences for the loss of someone so very special. Wonderful woman, with a heart of Faith. I was blessed to have known Ellen for many years as my teacher, my friend and as extended family member. Ellen shared good humor and a big smile with everyone she met.
