Sorry to hear of Sam's passing. I spent some time with his nephews, Jimmy and Michael and niece Ionne. My father Joe Brill and Vince were close Marine Corps buddies. I never had the pleasure to meet all of Vince's brothers but I hold very fond memories of being around the Cutri family on the north side. Michael (RIP old friend) and Ionne came to my parents home in Constantia to stay for a few days in the summer of 1967. We went to the "Dam" to swim and played some baseball and Michael and I made plans to get together again but sadly we never saw each other again. A friend of mine visited the Viet Nam memorial and he brought me a stencil tracing of Michael's name from the Wall. That stencil is memorialized on the wall of the American Legion Hall in Old Forge NY, where I lived at the time. He was a wonderful young man whom I looked up to and admired. I still think of him often, even now. My condolences to the whole Cutri family for all your losses. A wonderful Italian family who I feel a closeness to.
