I was sad to hear of Klaus' passing. He was such a kind man and I am grateful he found his way to St Joseph's Hospital. He will always be remember fondly. I have some great little stories about Klaus....that is making me smile as I sit here and write this. I am happy that he is with his wife...I know how much he missed her.

Klaus was someone I feel blessed to call a dear friend. I treasure the visits I had with him, Betty, and their dog Woody when I was a child. Klaus challenged me and championed me to push outside of my comfort zone and strive for greatness, never with any judgement, only love. Klaus was an intrepid if not stubborn person, often climbing up ladders and over fences to tend to his flowers. He spread beauty in everything he did.
I feel especially lucky to have spent time with Klaus in his later years. We shared many pleasant sunlit afternoons cooking and talking, while Cara Mia played in the background. My favorite are the stories Klaus shared about his young life, and the vigor with which he achieved his goals. Klaus maintained a robust social life, meeting John for lunch, and spending weekends with his friends in Rochester. I know how dearly Klaus has missed Betty since her passing, and how special of a love they shared.
Klaus, I will try to live by your advice: “Be happy, be well and have some fun along the way.”

To Tina & Chris:
My condolences on Klaus' passing. I met him when we were volunteers at St. Joseph's Hospital. We hit it off right away. We could chat for hours on end. He had a beautiful spirituality to his character and his ethics were beyond reproach. He gave of himself in service to others, wanting nothing in return except the satisfaction that he helped someone. He loved my jokes and always gave out a hearty laugh. Our group as Wednesday morning volunteers at St. Joe's was 'family' and Klaus was its patriarch.
Good-bye, faithful friend. God Bless you. Rest in Eternal Peace.
Sincerely,
Jim Dooher

I was sad to read of the passing of a fine man and great accountant. We worked on some interesting and challenging matters together back in the 70s and 80s and I always had a great deal of respect for Klaus and enjoyed his friendship. I also worked with him on family business matters in the 90s and you would never find anyone more loyal and helpful to our mutual clients. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family for a great loss.
