We just learned of your mother’s passing and are deeply saddened. Both Joseph ( who Anna fondly called Joey) and Hannah volunteered at Menorah Park and visited her often. She had such a sweetness about her, and they loved stopping in to see her. Her presence will be greatly missed! Sincerely, Joseph, Hannah, and their mom Judy

Dear Scarson Family,
I had the pleasure of meeting Anna at The Hearth, several years ago, when I visited Tillie Chiarmonte. I often called her or she me on the phone to chat. She was the most caring, considerate and pleasant person one could want to meet. I met her daughter and one of her sons on different occasions. I was disappointed to hear she had been transferred to the Menorah a few years ago, but, as luck would have it, my friend runs the gift shop there, and it afforded me the opportunity of stopping in and seeing her at different times. She was one of the nicest people I ever met. I lost our Mom last September),also in a nursing home, so I know deeply you are feeling the loss. I send all of you my sincerest condolences. I was, indeed, fortunate to have met such a fine lady. My prayers and thoughts are with all of you at this time. With sincerest thoughts, Brenda Wagner Redmond.

Dear Jon,Jeff, Jay, Jan, Joel, and families,
Please accept my most sincere sympathy for the lost of your Mom and Grandmother.
I have many memories of your Mom and family while I was growing up. When Aunt Lucy and Uncle Nicky lived next door, I could also be found there. Because of our shared relations, I always called your Mom, “Aunt Anna”.
One fond memory of your Mom was when she was my study hall monitor at old Lincoln. It was the only time I called her Mrs. Scarson. I had to pretend that I didn’t know her personally. She would always have her knitting needles out, knitting away, while she watched over a room of kids, not always studying.
The other, and most fondest, memory I have of your Mom (and Jan) was catering my bridal shower. They helped my shower guests to have a nice time. Both your Mom and Jan shared one of my special moments in my life.
The last time I saw your Mom was at “Aunt Jane’s” wake. She looked good considering her age. Michelle would share how your Mom (and Aunt Jane) were doing when we spoke. They were always busy volunteering. I know you are proud of her.
Again, you have my sincere condolences at your Mom’s lost. There is nothing like a Mother’s love. She and your family are my prayers. May she Rest In Peace as she is reunited with your Dad and her sisters.
Sincerely,
Rosanne Arena Mastroeni

To Ann Scarson's Family
I have known Ann in a few different ways. Her store, her kids at Henninger High and most of all; she was a good friend of my sister-Tillie Chiarmonte at the Hearth on James ST.
I was always impressed by the love and closeness she sheared with her family.

Anna Marie welcomed me into her family as a teenager. I went to several family events with her and her family and always made me feel welcome. She was a beautiful woman.
