Norma Safin, 86, of Syracuse, died on Friday at Loretto. She had retired from Chase Bank as a telephone customer representative and formerly worked for Allied Chemical. She was a communicant of Blessed Sacrament Church and a member of the Altar and Rosary Society.
She was pre-deceased by her husband Francis; brothers: Salvatore, Joseph Jr., Aldo, Mario Iacuone; and sisters Jean Massimiani, Antoinette DeAngelo, and Elvira Petragnani.
She is survived by her son John Safin of Glendale, AZ; daughter: Sandra (Paul) Safin-Schad of Minoa; most adored grandsons: Michael and Jason Schad; sisters: Dora (Frank) Settineri of East Syracuse, Rose LaMontagne of Syracuse, DonnaLou (Norman) Kreitzer of Rockaway, NJ; sisters-in-law: Rita Iacuone of Florida, and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends.
Private visitation and services will be held at the Goddard-Crandall-Shepardson Funeral Home and in Assumption Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Blessed Sacrament Church.
