Obituary of Audrey M. Carroll

Please share a memory of Audrey to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Audrey M. Carroll, 87, of Liverpool completed the circle of life on May 7, 2020. Audrey was born to George and Audrey McNickol. She graduated from Jordan Elbridge High School and in May 1953 she graduated as a Registered Nurse from General Hospital of Syracuse. The following year, she married the love of her life, Richard and was happily married for 52 years and together they raised six children. Audrey devoted her life to her husband, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. In 1992, Audrey retired from the Nurses Professional Registry after a life-long career as a private duty nurse. In retirement, following her 15 grandchildren around the country to their many sporting events became the center of her life. Between a lifetime of being the caretaker of her family, she enjoyed bowling, playing cards, Solitaire, reading, traveling to Ireland with her husband, attending graduations, and camping with her family. Audrey displayed pure confidence in the kindest way. She always stayed in the moment and made you feel like the most important thing was the conversation you were having with her at that moment. Audrey was predeceased by her husband, Richard and her son, Kevin. She is survived by her brother, Alan McNickol of Minnesota; sons Mark (Candace) of Phoenix and Richard Jr. (Barbara) of Liverpool, daughters Theresa (Paul) Phillips of Phoenix, Kathleen (Gary) Musial of Liverpool, Erin Carroll Campanino of Pennellville, 15 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren. Private funeral and burial services will be at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church and St. Mary’s Cemetery, Dewitt. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Food Bank of Central New York.
