Charlie was our attorney and we considered him a dear friend. He was especially kind to Sally on the occasion of her sister's death and the settling of her estate. He was such a kind man. I (Sally) often saw him running in the University area when I worked at the Library on campus and went for walks on my lunch hour. I pray for blessings on his family.

Thanks so much for the beautifully crafted obituary of Charlie Edwards. I encountered Charlie in the locker room at SYAC prior to or just after road races or training runs. I also had various real estate closings with him as a fellow attorney. He always had a smile and enthusiastic welcome. I was not aware of his very wide range of interests and experiences. He joins a growing group of Syracuse area attorneys who are now gone, but who left their mark on their fellow citizens and the organizations in which they were involved in so many positive and often colorful ways. I forgot whether Charlie ever received the so-called "Good Guy Award" from Monroe Title Insurance Corporation back in the day, but he certainly deserved it. Best to his family. Tom Bassett

To Jean and the Edwards Family, I am saddened by the loss of my long time friend . We first met, when I was working at Lincoln National Bank in Clinton Square in 1966 , Mr. Edwards was there attending to some of the Bank's business in the Dept. I was in. I eventually needed some legal representation and he said he would be glad to help me. Over the years ,I visited him many times and he always took pride in showing me his garden and the Milk house .
R.I.P. Mr. Edwards

Dear Jean , Jodi, Jill, Wendy and extended family.
Sorry to read of Henry's death. He lived a long and productive life and will be missed by many. My recent sightings were of him and Jean at the Dorothy dinners. His accomplishments as husband, father, grandfather, friend and community member are to be celebrated and retold by those he leaves behind, never to be forgotten."Goodbye, Charlie, You did good in your time here."

Aunt Jean, Jodi, Jill, and Wendy, Uncle Charles was always a wonderful, funny, and accomplished part of our family.I can remember sitting by the piano and being in awe as he would play boogie woogie music. His stories were also a point of pleasure and enjoyment. I can still remember him telling us of his meeting Kirk Douglas way back when (about 60 years ago). I am so happy that I had the pleasure of visiting with him a couple years ago with my son Ron and grandsons Alex and Miguel. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. Walter Edwards

Mr Edwards hired me right out of business school. Such a genuine gentleman. Great boss and he was interested in my life outside the office. When my boyfriend (now husband of 47 years) came home from college for a vacation he gave me $20 and said have a nice dinner with Joe. He and Mrs Edwards came to our wedding and when I left 6 years later to have our first baby they came over to see him and brought him a Paddington bear. Three years later we had another child and they came again to see him and gave him a gift too. Such a great experience for my first job.
