Mary Jane Altman 85, passed away at home Saturday. She was born on January 29, 1928 the daughter of the late Charles & Anna Riehle Taylor. Mary Jane had worked for Syracuse City Schools for a number of years. She was predeceased by her husband Norman in 1983. Survived by her sons: Norman, John, Steven, David, James; daughters: Linda DiPietro of Cleveland, Ohio, Paula Altman-Gwynn and Lisa Sampson; brother: Richard Taylor; sister, Ann Briggs; 20 Grandchildren and 8 Great-grandchildren. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, February 19 from 9am - 10:30am in Assumption Church, 812 N Salina St. with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 in church. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Assumption Church Food Pantry. Visit welterprice.com for online condolences.
