Jeanne Patterson Griffen, 85, of Syracuse, died on Monday at University Hospital. She retired from A.T.T. in 1986 after 29 years. She was a communicant of Blessed Sacrament Church. She was also a member of the Telephone Pioneers. She was a former member of the Eastwood Bears and Bishop Grimes Booster Clubs. She enjoyed traveling with her husband across the country and Canada in their RV. Sh also enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family and friends. She was pre-deceased by her loving husband of 45 years Roy Griffen, brothers: Robert & Jack Patterson; and parents Ralph and Loiuse (Conroy) Patterson. She is survived her children: Gail (Donald) Manos of Bridgewater, MA, John (Patti) Griffen of Solvay, Daniel Griffen of Syracuse, Joni (Richard) Fitchette of Malone, NY; Jim (Becky) Griffen of Kansas City, KS; 8 grandchildren: Gregory (Elizabeth) Manos, Christine Manos, Meghan Griffen, Bryan Griffen, Lauren (John) Irvine, Cpt. Erin Griffen, Katelyn Griffen, Jillian Fitchette; and great-grandchildren: Caitlin, Caroline, Charlotte Manos, Haley & Charlotte Irvine. Jeanne’s family would like to thank the staff of St. Camillus Home Health Care Nurses for their excellent care and compassion. A Funeral Mass will be Saturday, January 25 at 9am in Blessed Sacrament Church. Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Mausoleum. Friends may greet the family from 8-9am before the mass in the church.
