Obituary of Ann I. Salerno

Ann I. Salerno, age 85, of East Syracuse, died January 15 with her children at her side. Retired from the firm of Richard C Kenyon C.P.A. Ann cherished time spent along the Lake Ontario shoreline at the family cabin. She enjoyed road trips, boating, and sight-seeing. At home, she enjoyed a good book and conversation over coffee, and taking senior bus trips around town. Ann was preceded in death by her husband James; and sisters, Elinor and Jean; and her great-grandson, Anthony Salerno. She is survived by her children, Laura (Mike) Martino, of Chittenango; James V. Salerno of Sarasota, Fl.; her brother Richard (Connie) MacDougall; two sisters, Lois DeLaubell and June Capria; 6 grandchildren, Matt (Sara), Jessica (Eric), Vincent, Mary (Todd), Nicole, and James; 2 great-grandchildren, an Uncle, and many loving nieces, nephews and cousins. The family would like to extend their gratitude for the kind and compassionate care given to Ann at Crouse Community Center in Morrisville during her final journey. Services will be Wednesday, January 22, at 11:00 am with calling hours preceding the service from 10-11:00 am at Goddard-Crandall-Shepardson Funeral Home, 3111 James St, Syracuse NY,13206. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, Syracuse. Donations may be made, in lieu of flowers, to Minoa Methodist Church SAT (Senior Transport Program) 246 East Ave., Minoa, NY, 13116.
