Obituary of Donald Lee Schader

Donald Schader, age 60, born in Syracuse, raised in Plainville, NY, died suddenly on September, 4, 2019.  He leaves behind his loved wife of over 31 years Loree (Resha) and his beloved children, son Andrew and daughter Katie; his brother Rick (Bonnie) and niece Cassie; his sister Deb (Dick) English and several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was the supervisor Rehab Counselor at the Workers Compensation Board in Syracuse for over 20 years.  He had worked in the Human Services field since his graduation from Geneseo University in 1981 and his Master Degree from Syracuse University in 1991.  He was known of his love of collecting chamber pots, flower pots, and other antiques. He loved petroglyphs and archeology. Some favorite times were of doing road trips with the family on vacations across the North American Continent. He seriously hated roosters. He was known to always lend a hand to those in need. He was a proud father, husband and friend and will be missed.
Calling hours to be Wednesday, September 11, 2019 from 3-6 pm with a service afterwards at Goddard-Crandall-Shepardson FH, 3111 James St., Syracuse , NY 13206.
In lieu of flowers donations to the Transplant Patient Assistance Fund, c/o Upstate Foundation would be appreciated.
