Obituary of Robert R. Till

Robert “Bob” Rudolph Till (March 8, 1937-August 9, 2019) Bob was born in Syracuse to Harriet (nee Dmoch) and Rudolph Till. He is survived by his son, Terrence of Alexandria, VA (Mary and grandsons Alex and Adam), his daughter, Tamara of Cape Vincent, NY (Chris Clark and grandchildren Bob Clark and Carissa Clark), and his brother Thaddeus of Gaithersburg, MD(Anne). Bob was a devoted and loving son, father and grandfather. He would often call and visit his grandchildren to know how they were doing in school and sports. Growing up in Syracuse, Bob was involved in various sporting activities while attending Saint Vincent DePaul High School. He could often be seen playing baseball, basketball or umpiring such sports. Bob was nominated to the Syracuse Sports Hall of Fame. Following high school, Bob worked various jobs, eventually retiring from Niagara Mohawk having worked as a bill collector. But retirement was too slow for Bob, so he worked a few hours a week at the Syracuse airport working for Avis rental cars until the mid-2000s. Following a short hospital stay, he passed away peacefully.
