Charles M. Rauhe, 94, formerly of DeWitt, NY passed away August 6, 2019 at The Cottages at Garden Grove, Cicero, NY. Born in Naumburg, NY, on May 27, 1925, to the late William and Minnie (Karcher) Rauhe. He graduated from Lowville Academy, Rochester Business Institute and attended University College, Syracuse, NY. He was active in the field of accounting for over 45 years, retiring in 1988 from Syracuse University as Manager of Accounting and Inventory Control. He was an Emeritus Life Associate of the Institute of Management Accountants, serving as president of the Syracuse Chapter and as a National Director. He was a member of Eastwood Baptist Church for over 60 years serving as Deacon, treasurer, president of men’s fellowship and usher. In retirement, he volunteered at Crouse Hospital and completed tax returns for AARP members. Charles was an avid SU and Yankees fan. He enjoyed traveling and spending time with his family. He was predeceased by, Norma (Mannino), his wife of 49 years and his brothers Kenneth and John Rauhe. He is survived by his daughters, Catherine Perkins of Bristol, CT and Patricia Katz of Liverpool, NY; grandchildren Scott Perkins (Lars), Brendan Perkins (Diana), Jillian Eddings (Thom) and 3 great-grandchildren. 
Calling hours will be held on Monday, August 12, 2019, from 11 AM-1 PM, followed by a 1 PM service at Goddard-Crandall-Shepardson Funeral Home, 3111 James St., Syracuse, NY. Burial will take place at Woodlawn Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Eastwood Baptist Church, 3212 James St., Syracuse, NY 13206.
