Obituary of Celia Rose Salbert

Celia Rose (Wlodarski) Salbert, 92, a lifelong resident of Syracuse, passed away Saturday at St. Joseph’s Hospital.  She previously worked at the Harrison Center Deli, Jean’s Potato Chip Company, GE, Bristol and Syracuse China.  She was a communicant and volunteer at Transfiguration Church and a member of the Altar and Rosary Society and the Christian Mother’s Club.  Mrs. Salbert’s favorite pastimes included bowling and playing BINGO.  She was pre-deceased by her parents Thomas and Helen (Kulikowski) Wlodarski, her husband George R., son David and 7 of her brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her daughters: Linda (Joseph) Pizzuto of LaFayette, Diane (Rick) Potts of Glendale, AZ; son Michael (Rebecca) of Dewitt; sister Genevieve Kowalski of South Bend, IN; brother-in-law Richard (Theresa) Salbert; grandchildren: Carmen Pizzuto, Lindsay (Matthew) Scheuer, David, Jessica, Matthew and Alisa Salbert; great-grandchildren: Kathleen, Molly, Logan, George, and Kayleigh; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 9am at the Goddard-Crandall-Shepardson Funeral Home and at 9:30 in Transfiguration Church.  Burial will follow in Assumption Cemetery.  Calling hours will held on Wednesday from 4-7pm at the funeral home, 3111 James Street.
Memorial contributions may be made to Transfiguration Church.
