Martha Mary Brown, 67, died on Monday, July 1 at her home in East Syracuse. She had retired after 30 years as a supervisor with the NY State Thruway and was formerly employed by Loretto. She had enjoyed traveling. Martha is pre-deceased by her parents Nelson and Rita Degon, brother Mark Degon and sister-in-law Amy Degon.
She is survived by her husband of 41 years, James H. Brown; sister-in-law Eileen Degon, cousin Patricia Degon Episcopo, and her oldest and best friend Mary E. Skinner.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 8:30 at the Goddard-Crandall-Shepardson Funeral Home and at 9am in Blessed Sacrament Church. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Calling hours are Friday from 4-9pm at the funeral home, 3111 James St.
