I was saddened to learn of Margaret's passing when I returned from a business conference. Please accept my belated condolences on behalf of our entire family. Margaret was such a wonderful person, and a joy to be around at the Agency. I always enjoyed her sense of humor and appreciated all the hard work that she did for us over the years. More recently, it was nice to catch up with her on the phone and hear that she was still very active well into her 90's. We all will fondly remember Margaret. Best wishes to all her family. Sincerely, Eric Strickland

Very saddened to hear about Margaret’s passing. I first met her through my work at the City Parks while attending the Tomorrow’s Neighborhoods Today (TNT) as well as Eastwood Neighbored Association (ENA) meetings. Margaret was a kind, caring person and very knowledgeable about her beloved “Eastwood - The Village Within The City.”
She took particular interest in her Caleb Av neighbors - including my nephew’s growing family. She so loved seeing and hearing the sounds of their children playing.
My favorite memories was the many times Margaret and I would chat when she saw me marking the course for the annual Eastwood Autumn Five Mile Run as well as when I was the race photographer - you could always count on her being outside cheering on the runners!
Margaret was affectionately know as the “Eastwood Historian” but she will always be remembered by me as the ‘living heart and soul of Eastwood.’ Farewell my friend.

Dear Carol and family,
As you well know, your Mother and mine were not only cousins, but best friends
their entire lives. The McVicker and Recore's really knew how to have a
grand time.
I, too, loved your Mother. She was always upbeat and fun to be with and
she will be greatly missed.
Love,
Cheryl (Recore) Andrade

I was saddened to learn today that Margaret had passed. She was an absolutely incredible woman who had lived every ounce of her life to the fullest. She was so gifted and hardworking. She accomplished so much, and still had time to devote to her community and it's betterment. Linda and I will not be able to attend the funeral services, being away from Syracuse but, Carol, Jay, and the entire family, please know that you and Margaret will be in our prayers.

Margaret was an inspiration for all those who were lucky enough to meet her. I met her through Eastwood TNT 16 years ago and she represented grace, intelligence and an never ending commitment to Eastwood. I learned a lot from her through her dedication to her neighborhood, her respect of others opinions & genuine joy of living.. She will be missed
by all.
