Obituary of Dewey A. Buffington

Dewey A. Buffington, 53, of Syracuse, died on Saturday at St. Joseph’s Hospital.  He was a supervisor for Superior Waste Removal and was a former supervisor with Nagle Athletic Seal Coating.  Dewey was a former member of the North Side Athletic Club where he enjoyed boxing.  He was a caring and devoted family man who loved his children and grandchildren and would do anything for them.  He was predeceased by his parents Donna and William Buffington and father in law Carmen Sarno.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years: Alicia; sons: Brian (Kacy) Sarno, Jeremy (Ashley) Buffington; daughter DeAnna (Josh) Buffington; brothers: Eddie (Penny), Keith, David Buffington; mother in law Linda(Mark) Sarno; brother in law Carmen (Maureen) Sarno; grandchildren: Brandi, Brian Jr., Sophia, Victoria; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services are Friday at 1pm at the Frasier-Shepardson Funeral Home with burial to follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.  Calling hours are Thursday from 4-7pm at the funeral home, 1217 N. Salina Street.
