Wes was formerly employed as a wire designer at GE, Tile Mechanic for various firms, Superintendent at Ramada Inn and Seneca Mall.  He was Maintenance Superintendent for WSTM-TV where he even had his own “Mr. Fix-It” show for a short season.  He was self-employed in his own business of tiling and painting which was what he enjoyed doing right up until age 80.  In his spare time, he was an avid reader, a huge NY Yankee and Syracuse fan and enjoyed growing his famous vegetables. He was a kind-hearted person and enjoyed spending time with his family.
He was predeceased by his wife Barbara, his parents Wesley and Ellen Nolan and brothers Richard, Robert and Charles.  He is survived by his three children, Robert (Sandy) Nolan of Rhode Island, Sharon (Dennis) Reilley and Mary Kelly of Eastwood, sister Ellen Owens of Virginia, sister-in-law Marilyn O’Brien, ten grandchildren, four great-grandchildren which he cherished deeply and several nieces and nephews.
At his request there are no calling hours however a mass to celebrate Wesley’s life will be announced in the future where family and friends may gather.  Expressions of sympathy may be mailed to the Family of Wesley Nolan at 382 Ashdale Avenue, Syracuse, NY 13206.
A special thank you to Lori and all the staff at The Cottages for their care and compassion during the time our father was there.  A special thank you to Wesley’s grand-daughter Kristen Kelly, RN, who was an enormous help in the care of her grandfather over this past year.  He will be deeply missed by all, but his memory will live on forever in our hearts.
