Arlene M. Stone, 95, of Syracuse , died Thursday at Crouse Hospital with family by her side. She was a graduate of Eastwood High School and was a communicant of Blessed Sacrament Church. She was known by her friends and husband, Art, of 54 years as “Honey”and to her extended family as “Mrs. Art”.   She retired from Crouse Hospital as the “TV Lady” and continued there as a Volunteer spending over 40 years in total service at the hospital.  She was named the Volunteer of the year in 2010. Active in sports which included semi pro softball, tennis, bowling, horseshoes and her favorite, golf.  She was a member at Arrowhead GC until her 93rd birthday.

She was predeceased by her husband Arthur and great grandson David Arthur Thomas Jr.

She is survived by her sons James (Loredana) Leesburg FL,  John (Valerie) Charleston SC,  Robert (Sharon) St. Charles IL, and daughter Barbara Thomas (David) Cleveland OH, many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Monday at 9:30 am in the Goddard-Crandall- Shepardson Funeral Home and at 10 am in Blessed Sacrament Church. Calling hours are Sunday November 25th from 2 pm-5 pm at the funeral home 3111 James Street Syracuse NY 13206.  In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Crouse Health Foundation 736 Irving Avenue Syracuse NY 13210 or online.
