Theresa Frances MacSephney Murphy, 83, of Syracuse, died on Sunday at St. Joseph’s Hopistal.  She was a graduate of St. Joseph’s School of Nursing in 1954 and the Community Hospital Nurse Practitioner Program in 1973.  Mrs. Murphy retired in 1978 from the Syracuse Developmental Center.  She was a communicant of Blessed Sacrament Church, a member of the Altar & Rosary Society, the Golden Agers, Legion of Mary Auxiliary, the American Legion Auxiliary, and the St. Joseph’s School of Nursing Alumni.
She was pre-deceased by her husband Richard and parents Hugh and Theresa Walsh MacSephney and a sister Margaret Hewes.
She is survived by her daughters Patricia Theresa (Timothy) Broader of Syracuse, Mary Jo Kennedy Baker of Phoenix; 4 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
A memorial mass will be held on Thursday at 9:00am in Blessed Sacrament Church.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
