Obituary of Sharon A Stone

Sharon A. Stone, 60, of Liverpool, died on Friday at St. Joseph's Hospital. She had retired in 2003 after 30 years from Verizon. Since her retirement, Sharon has worked as a substitute teacher for special needs children and had also worked at Tracy's Hallmark Store. Mrs. Stone was also a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Church where she had formerly taught religious education. She loved spending time with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed her time at her camp at Brennan Beach and her new retirement home at Lake Ashton on Lake Wales in Florida. Her parents Joseph and Patricia Scarcelli had pre-deceased her. She is survived by her husband of 34 years: Frederick John Stone; her children: Julie (Morris) Lowery, Frederick "Ricky" John Stone II, Christian "CJ" Joseph Stone, Elyse Kristine Stone; her sister: Cynthia (Rick) Zimmer; grandchildren: Austin, Constance, Caylee Lowery; Cameron & Lillian Stone; a niece Natalie Zimmer; a nephew Patrick Zimmer; and several aunts, an uncle and cousins. Funeral services are Thursday at 9:15 at the Frasier-Shepardson Funeral Home and at 10am in St. Rose of Lima Church. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery. Calling hours are Wednesday from 4-7pm at the funeral home, 1217 N. Salina Street. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
