Daniel F. Steiger, 90 passed away Friday, at St. Joseph's Hospital. He was born on February 5, 1922 the son of the late Daniel and Mildred Walker Steiger. Dan served in the US Army during WWII and was a member of D.A.V., he retired from Crouse Hinds after 30 years of service. He was a member of Rome Trinity Untied Church of Christ and was a Mason. Dan was a active volunteer at Loretto and a avid SU fan. He was predeceased by his first wife Katharina Steiger in 1986 and his second wife Maryann Steiger in 2002. Dan is survived by his daughter and son in law, Karen & Bill Marshall; grandchildren: Katherina Marshall and Daniel Marshall; great-grandchildren: Roweyn and Jacob Marshall. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at 11am in Frasier-Shepardson Funeral Home. burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, September 25th, from 4-7pm at the funeral home, 1217 N. Salina Street.
