Aunt Mimi was a fixture in our lives for as long as I can remember.
She was always a great help to my Mom & Dad and participated in all the major celebrations of our family. We spent many fun times growing up; going to Auburn and having fun with Cindy & Susan, going out to lunch or just sitting around talking. She really took the time to get to know my brother and I; passing along wisdom as she went.
She was one of my Mom's best friends and always supported her, stood by her and loved her. She said it "like it was" and did not sugar coat her thoughts. Everyone needs someone like that in their lives and Mom was glad to have Mimi. They were friends for more than 60 plus years! What an accomplishment! As they both grew older, Aunt Mimi checked in on Mom a few times a day to make sure she was alright and if she did not answer the phone, my brother or I received a call. This meant a lot to have her watching over Mom when we could not be there. Aunt Mimi was always committed to our family and because of that we loved her dearly.
She will be missed more than she could have imagined. Thank you for always being there!
