Robert F. Petch of formerly of Fayetteville passed away in Anderson, SC. He was predeceased by his parents Earl and Mary Creamer Petch and his brother James Petch. Bob was a graduate of Fayetteville High School and attended Niagara University and graduated from Powelson Business School. He served in the US Army during WWII, he participated in the Normandy Invasion at Utah Beach and was awarded the Bronze Star and Silver Star. Bob retired from Chase Lincoln Bank after 32 years of service. He was a life member of the Lions International, American Legion, DAV and a charter member of the WWII Memorial and Big Red One Division. A mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, August 29, 2012 at 10am in the Immaculate Conception Church in Fayetteville with burial to follow with Military Honors in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or Alzheimer's Association.
