Ronald F. Romeo, 75, of Syracuse, died on Wednesday at St. Joseph's Hospital. He retired from the Syracuse City Water Department after 33 years and had also worked at Ludy's Grocery Store for 10 years and for 20 years at the Herald Journal. Mr. Romeo coached many championship Little League teams for Eastwood and was a devoted Yankees and NY Giants fan.
He was pre-deceased by his father Nicholas and a sister Barbara Sherrill.
He is survived by his wife Kim Romeo; children: Ronald Jr., Matthew (Connie), Robin (Anthony)Galloway, Mark Romeo, Adam, Sharon, David, Vincent, Marie, Anthony Mangan, Daniel Romeo; a brother Nicholas (Sandra); a sister Joan (Richard) Biggs; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services are Monday, August 27 at 9am in Goddard-Crandall-Shepardson Funeral Home and 9:30am St. Vincent dePaul Church. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 3-6pm at the funeral home, 3111 James St.
