Obituary of Kevin Patrick Walker

Kevin P. Walker March 25, 2017 Kevin Patrick Walker, 55, of Syracuse, died on Saturday surrounded by his loving family at Crouse Hospital. Family was Kevin’s bedrock. His generous soul will be missed by his large family and circle of friends. Kevin you gave us a forever love in a finite number of days. We are all better people to have known him and remember him for his endless love, compassion, and kindness. Kevin lived his entire life in Syracuse, completing his bachelors at LeMoyne College. He worked at C&S Companies for 35 years. He was always the first to volunteer his time, whether it be with Blessed Sacrament School, Coaching, Boy Scout leader, Bishop Ludden, Open Hand Theater or Syracuse Shakespeare Festival. He was pre-deceased by his parents: Martin and Helen Walker and a brother Robert Joseph. He is survived by his wife of 25 years Loreen, daughter Brianne, son Griffin; all of Syracuse. He leaves behind his brothers: James, Michael (Debbie); sisters: Maureen (Edward) Horvath, Colleen (Dennis) Wojcik of Utica, Katherine (Gerry) Scott, Dr. Kathleen Walker of Vermont; aunts: Jane Kwaisgroch, Peggy Moss, Anne Hayes and many cherished nieces, nephews and cousins. The funeral mass will be held on Wednesday at 10:30am in Blessed Sacrament Church with burial to follow in Assumption Cemetery. Calling hours are Tuesday from 4-7pm in the Church, 3127 James Street. Memorial contributions may be made to the Nature Conservancy, Hope for Heather -(Ovarian Cancer Awareness) or the American Heart Association.
