So sorry to hear about the loss of Virginia Sheridan. Although I never knew her, the stories about her from her son Mark spoke volumes about her values as a nurse and school teacher, which were further exemplified by her service in the U.S. Navy during WWII. May she rest in eternal peace.

Dear Anne,
So sorry to hear of your mother's passing. From the obit, it sounds like she had a great run! I'm sure that I never heard before of her Navy service--nobody talked about such stuff when we were growing up. My Dad was a D-Day bomber but never brought out his memorabilia until the 50th Anniversary in 1994! My aunt was also a Navy nurse who met her Navy pilot at Pendleton. What a generation!
I connected with Marilyn Roy Cello and Anne Gabriel through FB a couple years ago and we've had lunch a couple times. This past summer, Kathy Mastine Brooks joined us as did Mrs. Gabriel, who just lost her husband last June.
We've talked about getting more of the SVdP class together though I see you're in Boston now. We could certainly keep you updated on the possibility.
Again, my sympathies at your loss. It's tough to say good-bye, no matter the age.
Sincerely,
Kathleen Coffey Fink

Dear Anne, Mark and Wally - we were so sorry to hear about Gigi's passing. My mom was very upset but remarked that Gigi is in a better place. And I think that is true.....
Betty is now 95 and pretty much confined to her apartment at The Hearth on James. She uses a walker but continues to get weaker and thinner - she won't eat much as she claims nothing tastes good - but she certainly likes cookies and chocolates! She doesn't have the best diet, but, I guess, at 95, what the heck! Tippy & Casey visit the Hearth most days. I am usually there on the weekends. My sister, Carolyn, travels all the time but frequently has ma spend a few days at her house in Hammondsport when she is in New York.
I have very fond memories of your mom (and your aunt) - very nice, fun ladies! Best to you all. Love - Betsy

So sorry to hear of Virginia's passing. I'm friends with her daughter Anne in Boston, and while I'd never met Virginia, I feel that I've got to know her through the wonderful stories that Anne's shared. She was a wonderfully warm and kind woman.
Praying for the entire family that God would comfort you as you walk through the valley of the shadow. You can take solace, knowing that you will see Virginia again!

Anne,
I am very sorry to hear about the passing of your mother. Hopefully, you can take comfort in knowing that she lived a long life.
I expect your mother was a very special person since she passes those genes to you. You always bring a smile to my face when I see you. I expect she had the same impact on people.
Trish and my prayers are with you and your family during this troubling time.

Anne & Wallace,
I send my hugs.
It's so sad when we lose the older generation of people we love...
I know from how you talk about her
that she was feisty,
and smart,
and well loved,
just the kind of person I want to be when I grow up!
my hugs and love to you both,
Laura

I am sorry to hear about Virginia's death.
My memory as little boy is that she always had a welcome smile when my Mom Carol would stop by when we use to visit Syracuse. As Christian Family Cousins, they could really chat for hours. :)
My regards to the family.
