Louis (Lou) Farrell, 77, of North Syracuse passed away on Thursday, December 22. Lou was born in Oswego, NY son of the late Austin & Helen Cloonan Farrell. He was also predeceased by his brother, Donald, and his twin brother, Lawrence. Louis graduated from Oswego Catholic High School, served in the U.S. Army and then attended and graduated from Auburn Community College. He retired from Carrier Corporation after many years of service. Lou attended Blessed Sacrament Church in Syracuse and his Catholic faith a very important part of his life. This last year he lived at Buckley Square Senior Apartments and enjoyed playing bingo, poker and pitch with his friends there. Surviving are his sister, Eileen Kuno, Madison, WI; sister-in-law, Mary Ellen Pasternak of Baldwinsville; nieces: Kathy Kuno, Laurie Derus, Tracy Ihm, Erin Lacey all of WI and Julie Migliore of DE; and nephew: Eric Farrell of PA. Several great nieces and great nephews also survive. The funeral mass will be on Friday, December 30 at 11am in Blessed Sacrament Church. Friends may greet the family from 10:30-11 before the mass in Church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Blessed Sacrament Church, 3127 James Street, Syracuse 13206.
