Obituary of Christopher F. Grillo Jr.

Christopher F. Grillo, Jr., 63, of Eastwood, died on Tuesday at St. Joseph’s Hospital after a brief battle with cancer. Chris was a self-employed contractor who had lived in Florida for many years. He had a great sense of humor and loved sharing stories with friends and family. He was the man who knew someone EVERYWHERE he went. He enjoyed his time working out, playing with his dogs “Brandy & Hank”, riding his motorcycle and being on his boat, the “Gracious Lady”. He was an avid marksman and sports shooter. Chris is predeceased by his Mother and Father, Kathryn Hayes Grillo and Christopher F Grillo Sr. Also his beloved daughter Courtney Brynn Grillo. He is survived by the love of his life, Patti (Faella) Mahan; sons: Michael Johns, Christopher Grillo, III (Andrea Talamo Aldrich); daughter Caitlyn Grillo(John Everson); sisters: Joanne (William) Hanna, Barbara (David) Guiffrida; grandson John Everson Jr.; nieces and nephews: Kristyn Hanna, Joseph & Ali Guiffrida, Stephanie & Matthew Kasulke; great nephews: Zakary Gorman, Ryan Bourlier, Giovanni Guiffrida, Vincent Kasulke; Aunt Josephine Grillo, Aunt Helen Hayes and Uncle Anthony Grillo. Several cousins and their families. Very special cousin and lifelong friend Edward Latzkowski. Great friends Larry Gehm, Steve Kuss, Donnie Park and Frank Ranieri. Donations may be made to the SPCA, Friends of Second Chance Canine Shelter or any animal shelter of choice. Calling hours will be held on Monday from 4-7pm at the Goddard-Crandall-Shepardson Funeral Home, 3111 James Street, Syracuse with a memorial service held at the conclusion.
