My dear friend John, I just learned of your passing and am so sad but will remember the many Sunday mornings we shared the Post Standard crossword puzzle and a Bloody Mary as well as all the support you gave me through life's many sorrows. Losing my son, who shared your birthday for one-I will light a special candle for you both this January 18th. You and Ruth were dear friends-I'm so glad I spent some time with you both in 2015 on my return trip to NY from NC. How happy you both were that I had finally found the love of a lifetime. Peace my dear friend-hoping you are with your soul mate looking down on us all.
