Robert M. Kesel July 28, 2016 Robert (Bob) M. Kesel, 62, of Syracuse passed away Thursday, July 28, 2016 at Upstate Hospital, surrounded by family. Bob graduated from Bishop Grimes High School in East Syracuse. He was a carpenter for local companies. He previously coached basketball in Blessed Sacrament’s boys basketball league. He loved playing golf and played with the “Eastwood boys” in the Blessed Sacrament golf league for over 25 years and the Eastwood glow ball league. He enjoyed tending to his flowers and vegetable garden. He loved wearing bright colors and of course, his crocs. Bob lived his life to its fullest every single day, and never gave in. Bob is predeceased by his father, Robert D. Kesel. Bob is survived by the love of his life, wife Mary Richey-Kesel, his son Ryan Kesel, daughter Casey (Jason) Cone, his granddog Miles, and first grandchild on the way, his mother Mary Kesel, sisters Debbie (Cos) Caronna and Elizabeth Kesel, 6 nephews, 9 nieces, 5 great nephews, and 3 great nieces. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Upstate Cancer Center. The family would like to thank the Upstate MICU and his “girls” at the Upstate Cancer Center for the great care Bob received.
