Obituary of Daniel James Mott

Daniel J. Mott, 59, of Syracuse, died on Wednesday at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester. He was a graduate of Henninger High School and was employed by Young & Franklin for over 25 years. Dan’s family was the center of his life. He also was an avid NASCAR fan and was involved with Camp High Hopes.
He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Kathleen; daughters: Jennifer Papworth, Nicky Mott; son Kenneth James Mott; his mother Shirley Mott; brothers: William Mott III, Timothy Mott, Allen Mott; grandchildren: John D. Papworth, Makayla Woodburn, Christian M. Serrao, and another grandson expected in August, Daniel Edward Salvagni; a “sister” Libby; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Monday at 10AM at the Goddard-Crandall-Shepardson Funeral Home with burial to follow in White Chapel Cemetery. Calling hours are Sunday from 3-6pm at the funeral home, 3111 James Street.
