Obituary of David J. Lewis Jr.

David J Lewis Jr., 57, passed away on Tuesday after a very sudden illness. He was employed at Crouse Hospital for 38 years. He was loved by all that met him. He was an avid Syracuse University football and basketball fan. He was predeceased by his mother Suzanne Lewis and his father David J. Lewis Sr.(Denise) and his brother Matthew J. Lewis. He is survived by his loving wife of 22 years Merribeth; 4 daughters: Kathryn Plaza, Stephanie Austin, Amy Butters(Josh), Christine Lewis all of Syracuse; 6 grandchildren: Ariana, Gabriel, Vada, Hannah, Maya and Bronx; two sisters: Brenda Neeves and Sheila Lewis all of Syracuse; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins Calling hours are at the Goddard-Crandall-Shepardson Funeral Home, 3111 James St., Syracuse on Sunday from 1-4 with a 4pm memorial service at the conclusion. His cremains and will be interred at a later date.
