Walter E. “Wally” Cramer March 12, 2006 Walter E. “Wally” Cramer, 88, of East Syracuse, died on Saturday at the Crossings in Minoa. He was a proud US Navy Veteran and served in WWII. He had retired after more than 40 years with Conrail. He was a member of the National Association of Retired & Veteran Railway Employees, Inc. (NARVE); Masonic Lodge 520, American Legion Post 1276. He enjoyed bowling and going to Vernon Downs. He was pre-deceased by his companion Virginia Golio. He is survived by his daughters: Joyce (Pat) Murphy of Camillus, Nancy Lackner (Craig Clark) of Eastwood; a good friend of many years, Jean Kostine; a sister-in-law Joan Cramer; 5 grandchildren: Sondra (Bruce) Walther, Heather (Charlie) Goetz, Tamara (Ron) Stone, Brian (Mindy) Murphy, Michelle (John) Colagiovanni; 11 great grandchildren: Alaina Wise, Alivia Carlton, Austin, Alexa, Adison Stone, Macie, Ayla, Greyson Goetz, J.C. and Haidyn Colagiovanni, Ashtyn Murphy; Virginia Golio’s children: Ralph (Michelle) Golio, Jr., Margaret (Bob) Drew, Nancy (Dan) Cross and their children Nicole & Danielle Cross; and several nieces and nephews Funeral services are Saturday at 1pm at the Goddard-Crandall-Shepardson Funeral Home with burial in Veterans Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the Crossings.
