Cecilia E. Buczakowski, 89, of Syracuse, died peacefully on Tuesday. She was a communicant of Transfiguration Church and a member of the Altar and Rosary Society. She was also a member of the Pulaski Post American Legion Auxiliary and Polish American Citizens' Club in Syracuse. Mrs. Buczakowski had retired as a secretary for D.T.S. Truck Service. She was pre-deceased by her husband Joseph who died in 2006 and a sister Lillian Buchinsky in 2015.
Cecilia is survived by her son Joseph; daughter Marie Aiello; son-in-law Mark Charboneau; son-in-law Joseph Aiello, grandchildren Alicia and Daniel Aiello; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 9am at the Goddard-Crandall-Shepardson Funeral Home with a mass at 9:30 in Transfiguration Church. Burial will follow in Assumption Cemetery. Calling hours will be Thursday from 4-7pm at the funeral home, 3111 James Street. Contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association of CNY or the Humane Society of the United States.
