Michael C. Koagel, 71, of Syracuse, died on Monday at his home. He graduated in 1965 from LeMoyne College. Mr. Koagel had been an accountant for 50 years and was a partner at Koagel & Vincentini CPA's. He was a communicant and lector at St. Charles, a life time member of the Pastime Club, and a member of Tuscarora Golf Club. Mike was also an active supporter of St. Lucy's Church. He enjoyed bowling, golfing and was known for making great desserts, especially cookies. Mike enjoyed SU Sports and was an avid Dodgers fan. He was pre-deceased by his parents August (Pat) & Marjorie and a brother Patrick Koagel. He is survived by his sisters: Margo (Ron) Planty of North Syracuse, Kathleen (Richard) Linder of The Villages, Florida; close friends Don & Barb Crossett; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces & nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 9:15 at the Frasier-Shepardson Funeral Home and at 10am in St. Charles Church. Burial will follow in Assumption Cemetery. Calling hours are Sunday from 4-7pm at the funeral home, 1217 N. Salina Street. Memorial contributions may be made to PKD Foundation, PO Box 871847, Kansas City, MO 64187-1847.
