Obituary of Charles F. Bross

Charles F. Bross, 75, died Tuesday August 4. Charles was born July 17, 1940 the son of the late Harry S. And Helen Huff Bross in Auburn, NY. He retired from Carrier Corp. as a Machinist after serving 38 years of faithful service. Charles was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed attending Clam bakes and tending to his famous Blackberry patch. Spending time with his grandchildren was his special pleasure. Charles was always prepared to help out with anything his children or friends asked of him. He is survived by; his wife of 51 years Rita; daughter Wendy Cassano and her significant Robert Hertel; sonsDaniel and Carolyn Bross, William Bross, and Jeffrey and Rebecca Bross; grandchildren; Ashley Cassano, Stephen Bross, Danielle Bross, Jacob Bross, and Benjamin Bross; his sister Louise Goodsell. Visitation will be Friday from 4:00 to 7:00 at the Goddard-Crandall-Shepardson Funeral Home, Inc. 3111 James St. Prayer services will be held at the funeral home Saturday at 9:30 am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Blessed Sacrament Church. Memorial donations are asked to be directed to the National Parkinsons Foundation.
