Please share a memory of Sophie to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Sophie Muirhead passed away quietly in Massachusetts on Tuesday, July 21st. She was living close to her daughter, Donna Sardo, but had been a life long resident of Syracuse. A huge Syracuse University fan, she would watch them on TV whenever she could. Her husband, Scotty Muirhead, the love of her life, predeceased her as did her son Michael Muirhead and brother George Andrews. Her family and friends were her treasures. Her grandsons, Brian and Michael Sardo and her five great granddaughters Carly, Cate, Riley, Avery and Hannah were her heart's delight. When she saw them, her smile would light up the room Her loving family included her daughter Donna, son-in-law Tony Sardo, grandsons Brian Sardo and Michael Sardo and his wife Kristine, her daughter-in-law Kathleen Muirhead, 2 very special nieces Carolanne Montgomery and Laurie Butman along with Janice, Christine and Greg. Her family included a special friend from the Jewish Geriatric Center in Massachusetts - Salina Aguilar. A funeral service will be held on Monday at 11am in the Pitcher Hill Community Church with interment to follow in Woodlawn Mausoleum. Friends may greet the family on Onday from 10-11am at the church.
