Obituary of Carol E. Tighe

Carol E. Tighe, 87, of East Syracuse passed away on Monday, June 8th, at Iroquois Nursing Home. She had retired from the ESM School District. Mrs. Tighe had volunteered for Meals on Wheels and many functions at St. Matthew's church and school. Carol enjoyed crafts and watching the NY Yankees. Carol was predeceased by her husband Paul and a sister Connie Egan. She is survived by her six children John (Rita), Mary White (Mark), Ann Popule (Mike), Patty Doane (Philip), Jeanne Tangredi (James), and Michael (Cana); 2 sisters: Kathleen Michel, Ann Dalgety; a sister-in-law Anne Clark; nine grandchildren, Dylan, Kyle, Nicole, Julia, Anna, Carolian, Sarah, Catie, and Paul. Funeral services are Friday at 8:30 at the Goddard-Crandall-Shepardson Funeral Home and the Mass of Christian Burial will be held 9 a.m in St. Matthew's Church. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Dewitt. Calling hours will be Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home, 3111 James Street, Syracuse. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Carol may be made to the Food Pantry at St. Matthew's Church, 229 West Yates Street, East Syracuse 13057.
