Obituary of Celia Jane Luteran

Celia Jane Luteran, 95, of Syracuse, died on Wednesday at Crouse Hospital. She had retired in 1982 from Sears. She was a communicant of Transfiguration Church and a member of the Mother's Club and the Altar & Rosary Society. Celia was an expert seamstress and avid baker. In her later years, she enjoyed reading, crocheting, playing Bingo and exercising with her friends. Her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren brought her the greatest joy.
She was pre-deceased by her husband Joseph in 2007 and son Richard in 2000.
She is survived by her children: Kathleen (Joseph) Cardinal; Paul (Sharon) Luteran; Mary Jane (Red) Costello; a daughter in law Camile Luteran; 8 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services are Monday at 10:30 at the Goddard-Crandall-Shepardson Funeral Home and at 11am in Transfiguration Church. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery. Calling hours are Sunday from 4-6pm at the funeral home, 3111 James Street.
