Betty Whitehead, 92, of Liverpool, died on Monday at St. Joseph's Hospital. She was a graduate of North High School and a communicant of St. John the Baptist Church. Betty had retired from the Onondaga County Department of Social Services and was formerly employed at Meunch- Kreuzer Candle Company. She was active in the Salina Senior Citizens and the Crouse Hinds Retirees clubs. She was pre-deceased by her husband Robert in 2001; her parents Charles Arthur Brooker and Mary Josephine (Fahey) Brooker and 4 sisters: Margaret Brooker, Shirley Knittel, Agnes McKeen Clifford and Rita Rankin. Betty is survived by her sons: Robert F. (Kathy) of Marcellus, Kevin P. (Kara) of Clifton Park, NY; 4 granddaughters: Rebecca Baitsholts, Mary, Meghan and Jacqueline Whitehead; a great granddaughter: Aubrey Baitsholts; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services are Saturday at 8:30am at the Frasier-Shepardson Funeral Home and at 9am in St. John the Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Mausoleum. Calling hours are Friday from 3-7pm at the funeral home, 1217 N. Salina St. Memorial contributions can be made to St. John the Baptist Church, 406 Court Street, Syracuse 13208.
